How to Enjoy Summer & Keep Organized | PARTS 03 & 04

A NOTE FROM NATALIE (Patterned owner & lead designer)
Hooray summer! Since having kids, summer has become very bittersweet. It’s still a time to enjoy later nights and adventures but containing children in the house when it’s 100+ degrees outside is exhausting. I’m declaring this summer the summer of plans, pouches and popsicles. Using Patterned notepads and journals for activity ideas and crafts, using zipper pouches to contain ALL the snacks for kids and tired parents and popsicles for hydration when we can’t escape the heat.
I’ve written a fun four part series, How to Enjoy Summer and Keep Organized. If you’re looking to enjoy the summer months and keep your sanity, like me, keep reading. Cheers! - Natalie

PART 03: PLANNERS
As a mom of 2, running 2 businesses (plus a husband, a dog & a home) like you, I’m busy! An obvious choice for plans and organization, a planner. Truly, I could not live without my paper planner for organizing EVERYTHING.

All Patterned Planners include 12 monthly spreads for big picture planning. Jot down new or re-occurring appointments and plans each month and use accompanying weekly or notes pages for more detailed to-dos.

Get an entire week at a glance and easily plan outings, appointments and to do’s day-by-day. Our team loves that Saturday and Sunday have the same amount of space as week days because weekends are often just as busy. Especially summer weekends filled with regular chores and all the fun adventures.

Whether your planner lives on your desk or inside your tote bag, notes pages in the back of each Patterned Planner provide easy access to flip and write at any time. Plus, each planner comes with a click pen and pen clip to keep everything you need close by.

PART 04: JOURNALS
As a mom of 2, running 2 businesses (plus a husband, a dog & a home) like you, I’m busy! I always have a Patterned journal in my bag for quick notes but lately, we’re using them for keeping more physical memories.

A journal small enough to carry around in your bag but large enough to hold weeks of memories, thoughts, ideas and moments of gratitude. Like the notes app on your phone but infinitely prettier and more inspiring to make some of your dreams a reality.

Something fun for families of all ages - create a memory book. A journal per year or fill a handful of pages each year with plans, doodles, kids art, polaroid pictures, thoughts, memories and keepsakes. Personalize with your family name on the front and enjoy a beautiful book with beautiful memories.
