What office supplies do you feel most excited to shop for while setting up your classroom and your desk each year? “As a math teacher, I used the white board a lot so I always had different colored pens and markers to show the different steps in a math problem. I also used a lot of small notepads to write little things down during my day-to-day.” Becky also mentioned pens, highlighters, post-its, notepads, a desk calendar and a yearly planner.

Do you typically take items from your classroom and desk home with you each day? If so, what? “I had a tote bag to carry folders of papers to grade, highlighters, pens, pencils and my teacher planner. My planner was like my bible! Plus, my trusty EZ-grader for the old school teachers.”

What 3 items on your desk would you consider most essential for a successful day in the classroom? “Definitely paper clips. Plus a stapler, my planner and pens. Oh oops, that’s 4!”
